The DROID will launch on Verizon November 6th for $199 on contract (after a $100 mail-in rebate). The DROID will be the first phone to pack Google's new Android 2.0, featuring visual voicemail, a 3.7-inch touchscreen display (854x480 resolution), a 5 megapixel camera with flash, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3G, WiFi, voice-activated search, over-the-air Amazon MP3 downloads, and a 16GB memory card. The DROID also comes packed with a beta version of a new Google service called "Google Maps Navigation", which turns Google Maps into a turn-by-turn routing system!
Me and about a million other people just added this to their "Want" lists on gdgt. Check out the launch video after the break.
